Truly IP at core exchange where all calls are switched by a call server that does Authentication Accounting & Administration of each call. Call server is connected to the Media Gateway Unit (MGU)/ Remote Line Unit (RLU) on IP link and all processing in the backplane is IP based. Can be configured for High availability distributed processing architecture or in centralized processing mode. Load balancing & Call admission control protocols are implemented for enhanced performance. Distributed cloud based architecture provides resilience in the switching fabric across multiple location to ensure that communication remains un-interrupted even if one or more sites are not reachable. Cascaded connectivity in adjacent RLUs the event of disruption of core switches.

Network Management System

Coral Network Management System is designed to adapt to a wide network of IP devices. It facilitates discovery of all the nodes, up/down node status, past node status & health of each device in the network. Coral NMS provides single page dashboard, alert/notifications on mail as well as on SMS. Reports on CPU utilization, memory used, load average and disk usage are readily available on the dashboard & can adapt any additional information available on SNMP protocol and even integrates using customized APIs or alerts from non-SNMP devices.. It provides Roll up facilities at various levels like RLU& node levels for ease of understanding of the network. NMS can help manage inventory and detect, addition or deletion of, any IP device in the network.

Traffic between a remote unit and the call server can be encrypted using SSH for direct command line sessions, HTTPS (SSL) for web sessions, SFTP for file transfers. Coral SSM & MSM ( server& media security module) is a hardware based encryption devise to provide Perimeter security that encrypts all IP packets flowing between media gateway and Call Server or over IP trunks connecting two call servers /MGU / exchange. Private & public key is implemented that synchronize & secures each IP session. Coral’s encryption device can facilitate encrypted VPN voice tunnels for traffic routed in specified directions.

Network Management & Alerts

Tightly integrated NMS that automatically plots topology layout, facilitates centralized configuration, management, maintenance, and backup for the entire IP exchange network. It helps in asset management & control. NMS provides alerts based on threshold level of performance defined in the system. Faults can be escalated in the well-integrated unified communication client to the concerned user. Faults are cleared from the UC client automatically when rectified. Tasks can be escalated in various escalation matrices based on type of fault.
