The CPE should support a wide range of high bandwidth services either TDM based or Packet Based. Coral Telecom's Apollo-155 is a compact, modular, and cost effective carrier-grade STM-1 customer premises equipment, best suited for offices as it fits into standard cabinets at the customer premises.
It is customized for the traffic demands, in the access network, typical of residential or business customers. Supported by next generation SDH technology, the Apollo-155 is capable of delivering a flexible range of services like E1, Ethernet, E3 and DS3.
The compact design of Apollo-155 makes it ideally suited for desktop applications. The CPE provides STM-1 network interface, for connectivity to the service provider's metro access network. It can be equipped with a wide variety of customer interfaces like E1 (2Mbps), E3 (34Mbps), DS3 (45Mbps as well as 10/100Mbps Ethernet.
The product supports end-to-end provisioning and management of services across all the segments of the optical network. The powerful element management system simplifies network management tasks and covers all required management functionalities.
The flexibility of the SDH enables operators to change networks according to bandwidth requirements. The Apollo-155 is a multi-services access platform that can be deployed as a terminal multiplexer or as an add/drop multiplexer in point-to-point, chain or ring topologies.
